The Website

When developing our website, I wanted to ensure that upon landing at Make More Monie, the visitor would feel welcome, not overwhelmed, and find that it was created with user-centricity – and our own credibility – in mind.

To that end, one won’t find any bells ‘n’ whistles featured there. No gimmicks nor gadgets, no distracting pop-ups or auto-playing video clips, no shocking visuals or annoying animations, no noisy color schemes and no ambiguous links.

Rather, one will find simplicity, navigability, accessibility and conventionality. From the serene landing page image, through the pages informing the reader about all things Make More Monie, to the blog and vlog posts, there will be nothing inauthentic about it, reflecting the authenticity of our mission.

Even the colors of the website, right down to the asterisks indicating mandatory information on the contact page, are either black, white or our rich, deep, dark green.

Further to the colors, I deliberately chose these three as, in my last-ditch effort to find success (or “green”), I wanted to incorporate the black and white as a way to highlight the need for direct and immediate action. In other words, gone for me and many of us is the luxury of time and the non-urgency with which many who have made good previous decisions can face their daily and future ones. In other words, the world and all within it has never been more “black or white” for me.

My decisions now are made with a stark efficiency and always result in a “yes” or a “no” as the criteria for making them is very matter-of-fact. The decision is decisively based upon whether or not the action being contemplated is going to ultimately result in a credit or a debit to my balance sheet; a positive or a negative in my life’s grand scheme of things.

This makes all decisions easy to make and never results in second-guessing, which is a luxury I, and those others in the same somewhat-precarious circumstances, cannot afford.

If it is something that is likely to result in an immediate or eventual financial gain, an increase in the efficiency of my life (enabling me to “make more monie” smarter or faster), an improvement in my overall health (enabling me to increase the years available to me to “make more monie”), or facilitate a connection to someone that’s already “made more monie” and may be willing to send the elevator down, so to speak, then the answer is “yes”. If not, the answer is “no”.

So, when visiting the site, take a moment to appreciate the above, and its relation to the website’s color palette. Hopefully, the time spent in the black-and-whiteness of it will subliminally help us all find plenty of “green” in our future!
