Although for years I had some vague notion of Make More Monie, it became much clearer in a 2018 conversation with the owner of a brand-new Dodge Demon, an 850 hp, unhinged, ultra-powerful muscle car that was pretty much, more or less, a Hellcat on steroids.
He approached as I was admiring it in the parking lot of Sobeys in Grand Bend over the Victoria Day long weekend. The car was engineering beauty; giving new meaning to the words “make more muscle”. It was obvious why he bought it. Regardless, I was more interested in how he was able to buy it.
In our conversation, he spoke of wise choices relating to education, discipline, working hard and working smart. He touched upon all the usual good habits that, when more often than not are applied to one’s life, make such conspicuous consumption possible here in the First World.
As he drove away, the beauty of his car (and sound from the superchargers) captured the essence of what I wanted Make More Monie to be; a place for those interested in learning how to build a life that just may see them being able to afford the good things in it, rather than only dreaming of them.
To that end, I have created the Make More Monie website and other media, with the intention of providing content for those looking for inspiration. I plan for it to reference and feature journeys of not only myself, but those I have met or heard about along the way, that, despite not being “one-percenters”, live successful, fun-filled and fulfilling lives.
The intent is also not to glorify wealth – it is glorified enough all on its own – but to simply help those that may not get it understand that you don’t have to be a multi-millionaire to have a great life. All you need to do is to make what I referenced above; good decisions – as early on as possible – relating to education, working smart, prudent investing, and, for good measure, diet, health, fitness and general well-being.
I founded Make More Monie to be a digital oasis; an information supply depot where like-minded individuals can find content geared to helping one and all get ahead, figuratively sending the elevator back down to those looking to do what it takes to join them in appreciating the view from up top.
To that end, I’m committed to posting positive and helpful content beyond these few introductory posts as often as I can. As I build and establish Make More Monie, I’ll also be looking for others that have been able to “make more monie” themselves, to provide me their own stories of success, which I will feature. This way, those looking to follow in their footsteps have a guide to how others have done it. Sort of a payin’ it forward, sharin’ the wealth kinda thing!
